Terms & Conditions
Effective September 2, 2026
1. Our role as a travel agent
Mikes Vacations acts as a travel agent and intermediary between travelers and independent third-party travel suppliers. These suppliers may include airlines, hotels, resorts, cruise lines, tour operators, car-rental companies, transportation companies, wholesalers, destination management companies, travel insurance providers and other travel-service providers.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Mikes Vacations does not own, operate, manage or control these suppliers or the travel services they provide. Your booking is also subject to the applicable supplier's terms, fare rules, cancellation conditions, refund policies, restrictions and conditions of carriage. Where a supplier's rule applies specifically to a booked travel component, that rule governs that component, subject to rights that cannot legally be waived.
2. Quotes, prices and availability
Travel prices and availability can change until a reservation is confirmed and any required payment is successfully processed. A quote, itinerary proposal or availability display does not constitute a confirmed booking.
Airfares, hotel rates, resort fees, taxes, fuel surcharges, government charges, supplier fees, foreign-exchange rates and other travel costs may change before confirmation. Mikes Vacations will make reasonable efforts to provide accurate information. Obvious typographical, technical, supplier-feed or system errors may be corrected before booking confirmation.
3. Traveler responsibility
Travelers must carefully review names, dates, destinations, airports, flight times, accommodations, room types and other booking information before approval. Names should match the identification or passport used for travel. Corrections after ticketing or confirmation may be restricted or require rebooking, additional charges or fare differences.
4. Payments
The amount and timing of deposits, partial payments and final payments vary by booking and supplier. By authorizing payment, you authorize Mikes Vacations and/or the applicable supplier or payment processor to charge the approved amount using the selected payment method.
Some transactions may appear on your financial statement under the airline, hotel, tour operator, wholesaler, payment processor or another supplier rather than Mikes Vacations. A booking is not guaranteed until the applicable supplier confirms it.
5. Agency, planning and service fees
Mikes Vacations may charge professional planning, booking, consultation, change, cancellation or other agency service fees for certain services. Any such fee will be disclosed before you become obligated to pay it. Where a professional fee is expressly identified as non-refundable before payment, it remains non-refundable except where applicable law requires otherwise. Supplier penalties and Mikes Vacations service fees are separate charges.
6. Changes requested by the traveler
Requests to change confirmed travel arrangements are subject to availability and supplier rules. Changes may result in supplier penalties, fare or rate differences, loss of promotional pricing, additional taxes or fees, rebooking costs, and any separately disclosed Mikes Vacations service fee. Mikes Vacations cannot guarantee a requested change will be permitted.
7. Website inquiries are not bookings
Submitting a form, requesting a quote, contacting a travel advisor or receiving a proposed itinerary does not create a confirmed reservation. A booking exists only after the travel arrangements have been accepted, required payment or authorization has been provided, and the applicable supplier has confirmed the reservation.
8. Travel insurance
Mikes Vacations strongly recommends that travelers consider appropriate travel insurance. Coverage, exclusions and claim decisions are determined by the insurer and the specific policy. Mikes Vacations does not guarantee that any event or loss will be covered.
9. Passports, visas and entry requirements
Travelers are responsible for obtaining and maintaining passports, visas, transit visas, entry authorizations, health documentation, vaccination documentation, parental-consent documents and other required travel documents. Requirements can change without notice. Information supplied by Mikes Vacations is a convenience and should be independently verified with official government authorities.
10. Health, safety and destination conditions
Travel involves inherent risks. Travelers should independently evaluate health, security, weather, local laws, political conditions and other destination risks and review government travel advisories before departure. Mikes Vacations does not warrant that any destination or activity is risk-free.
11. Supplier performance
Because travel services are performed by independent suppliers, Mikes Vacations is not responsible for acts or omissions of a supplier outside our reasonable control, including flight delays or cancellations, schedule changes, overbooking, hotel-room changes, baggage issues, strikes, mechanical problems, weather, natural disasters, governmental actions, border closures, public-health events or other disruptions. This does not eliminate responsibility that applicable law specifically imposes on Mikes Vacations.
12. Force majeure and extraordinary events
Travel may be affected by events beyond the reasonable control of Mikes Vacations or suppliers, including severe weather, natural disasters, war, terrorism, civil unrest, labor disputes, epidemics or pandemics, governmental restrictions and transportation interruptions. Refunds, credits or alternatives depend on applicable law and affected-supplier policies.
13. Special requests and accessibility
Mikes Vacations will communicate reasonable special requests to suppliers when requested, including accessibility, dietary, bedding and similar needs. Unless the supplier specifically confirms the request, it is not guaranteed. Travelers with accessibility, medical or mobility needs should advise us before booking so appropriate information can be requested.
14. Images, descriptions and amenities
Hotel, destination and travel images may be illustrative. Room layouts, views, furnishings, amenities, aircraft, vehicles and facilities may differ from photographs or descriptions and may change without notice.
15. Communications
By providing an email address or telephone number in connection with an inquiry or booking, you authorize Mikes Vacations to contact you regarding that inquiry, proposed itinerary or reservation. Marketing communications are handled separately from communications necessary to provide requested travel services, as required by law.
16. Complaints and problems during travel
If a problem occurs during travel, contact Mikes Vacations and the affected supplier as soon as reasonably possible. Prompt notice can give the supplier or advisor an opportunity to address the issue while travel is still in progress.
17. Credit-card disputes
Travelers retain rights available under payment-card and consumer-protection laws. Before initiating a payment dispute concerning a booking issue, we encourage you to contact Mikes Vacations so the reservation, supplier terms, refund status and remedies can be reviewed. A dispute does not automatically cancel travel or override supplier cancellation terms.
18. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mikes Vacations is responsible for its own travel-agency services but not for independent acts, omissions or failures of third-party suppliers it does not own or control. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
19. Changes to these terms
Mikes Vacations may update these terms to reflect changes in services, supplier practices or applicable requirements. The version applicable to a booking will generally be the version made available when the traveler confirms that booking, except where a later change is required by law.
20. Contact
Questions regarding these Terms may be sent to support@mikesvacations.com or through the contact options displayed on this website.
Important booking principle: Supplier-specific terms may differ from these general policies. Review the fare rules, cancellation conditions and material restrictions applicable to the particular travel product before purchase.
